The I-8052 CR is an 8-channel digital input module for monitoring wet contact signals in industrial control systems. Each of its eight differential channels is fully independent, and photocoupler isolation of 2 kV channel-to-channel keeps the inputs electrically separated from one another.
Input type is chosen through the wiring, so the same module can be set up as either sink or source type to suit the field devices. The ON level is +3.5 ~ +30 VDC and the OFF level is +1 VDC maximum. Eight I/O LEDs show the state of each input, and a further LED indicates power and communication.
With ±4 kV ESD protection on each terminal, a maximum consumption of 0.3 W and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C, the module is suited to building, factory and machine automation, as well as remote maintenance, remote diagnosis and testing equipment.
