The GW-7553-M lets a PROFIBUS DP master communicate with Modbus TCP devices such as PLCs, sensors and Modbus TCP I/O modules, so existing Modbus equipment can be brought into a PROFIBUS network without changes to the master. It operates as a PROFIBUS DP-V0 and DP-V1 slave, and supports up to 240 bytes of input data and 240 bytes of output data.
Configuration is handled through the built-in web server, which can be accessed from a standard web browser. The unit also offers Modbus Master or Slave operation and supports the RTU, ASCII and TCP formats, with a node address range of 0 to 126 set by DIP switch or EEPROM. An RS-232 port is provided for firmware updates and configuration.
Electrical isolation is rated at 2500 Vrms on the network side and 3000 VDC on the PROFIBUS side. The metal casing is intended for DIN-rail installation across an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C, making it suitable for factory and process automation installations.
