EIP-2042 CR is a remote digital output module that acts as an EtherNet/IP adapter, bringing 16 open-collector outputs onto an Ethernet network. It suits engineers who need to switch field loads from a PLC or supervisory system over EtherNet/IP without running discrete wiring back to a central cabinet.
Two auto-negotiating 10/100 Base-TX RJ-45 ports support daisy chaining, so the module can be placed where the I/O is needed and wired in line with other devices. The network can follow star, line or ring topologies. Output and connection status are shown by LEDs, and the isolation design of 3000 VDC helps protect the module from interference.
The module supports a Power-On-Value and Safe-Value, and firmware can be updated over Ethernet. ICP DAS also provides a software utility for configuring and testing the module via Ethernet. The EIP-2042 CR is mounted on DIN-rail and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 °C to +75 °C.
