The PROFI-5055 CR is a PROFIBUS DP-V0 slave remote I/O module that brings eight isolated digital inputs and eight isolated digital outputs onto a PROFIBUS network. It suits engineers who need discrete field signals connected to a DP master without building custom wiring or logic at the bus level.
Each digital input accepts sink or source wiring and is isolated from the others, with an on-voltage range of +10 to +50 V. The eight digital outputs are sink type, with a load voltage of +10 to +40 V and a maximum load current of 650 mA without short-circuit protection. Both I/O groups are rated for 3750 Vrms isolation.
Commissioning is straightforward: the transmission rate is detected automatically, the node address is set from 0 to 99 using rotary switches, and the I/O configuration is loaded from the GSD file. The module is designed for DIN-rail mounting and operates from -25 to +75 °C.
