The PISO-DA8U CR is an 8-channel, 14-bit isolated analog output card for universal PCI slots, aimed at engineers who need to drive analog outputs from a PC. Each channel can be set individually to voltage (±10 V) or current (0 ~ 20 mA) output, so one board can serve mixed field devices without rewiring the host.
Designed as a drop-in replacement for the PIO-DA series, the card works without changes to existing software or drivers. Its 2500 V bus-type isolation protects the host PC from surges, and calibration is handled in software with the data stored in EEPROM, so no jumpers or trim-pots are needed.
The board also provides 16 channels of 5 V/TTL digital input and 16 channels of 5 V/TTL digital output, three 16-bit timer/counter channels and an onboard 4-bit Card ID switch for identifying boards when two or more are installed in one computer. This configuration is suited to high-speed data acquisition, process monitoring and control, vibration analysis and digital pattern generation.
