The I-8054W-G provides eight isolated digital input channels and eight isolated digital output channels in a single module. The outputs are sink-type (NPN) open-collector stages rated at 700 mA per channel, with load voltages from +5 to +50 VDC, and they include overload and short-circuit protection. It suits engineers who need to switch field loads from a compact I/O module within the I-8K/I-87K (High Profile) PAC I/O range.
Each I/O channel is monitored by its own LED, giving 16 I/O indicators alongside a power and communication indicator. Power-on and safe output values can be configured, which helps define the module's behaviour when the system starts or when communication is lost. Intra-module isolation of 3750 VDC and 4 kV ESD protection on each terminal are provided as standard.
