The SFP-100M13M-FX is a 100Base-FX small form-factor pluggable module for fibre switches. It uses multi-mode fibre with a 1310 nm wavelength and an LC connector to carry Ethernet links over distances up to 2 km.
Because the module is hot-pluggable, it can be fitted or replaced to extend an existing fibre switch installation. Moving the Ethernet segment onto fibre also helps reduce EMI and noise interference, which suits plants and cabinets with heavy electrical noise.
