The PIO-DA4U CR is a universal PCI board for engineers who need four 14-bit analog outputs in a host PC. Each channel can be set individually to voltage output (±10 V) or current output (0 ~ 20 mA), which suits mixed-signal control and test set-ups where signal types vary between channels.
Calibration is handled in software rather than with jumpers or trim-pots, and the calibration data can be stored in EEPROM. The board also provides 16 channels of 5 V/TTL digital input with pull-high and pull-low options, 16 channels of 5 V/TTL digital output, and three 16-bit timer/counter channels referenced to an internal 4 MHz clock.
The board fits a universal PCI slot (3.3 V or 5 V signalling) and includes one CA-4002 D-Sub connector. A 4-bit Card ID switch lets software identify individual boards when two or more are installed in the same computer (version 1.1 or above).
