ISO-DA16/S CR is an ISA bus card that provides 16 isolated, double-buffered analogue outputs for PC/AT compatible computers. Each channel can be configured in software as a voltage output or a current sink, so one board can serve as a programmable voltage source or a programmable current sink in the same system.
Isolation is provided by a built-in DC/DC converter rated at 3000 VDC, together with 2500 VDC photo-isolation. Output type (unipolar or bipolar) and range (0 ~ 5 V, ±5 V, 0 ~ 10 V or ±10 V) are set in software, and calibration is also performed in software with the data held in EEPROM, so no trimpots or jumpers need adjusting.
The board also includes 16 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs at 5 V/TTL levels and three 16-bit timer/counter channels. It is supplied with a DN-37 terminal board and a CA-3710 D-Sub cable. Engineers working on process control or harsh-environment installations within the 0 ~ +60 °C operating range will find the board suited to these tasks.
