The I-8048-G CR is an 8-channel digital input module for the I-8K/I-87K low-profile series. Each channel can detect dry or wet contacts, with the signal type chosen through wire connections, so one module can serve a range of switch and sensor wiring arrangements without redesigning the field side.
Every channel supports programmable rising or falling-edge interrupts, with a maximum interrupt frequency of 10 kHz. This lets engineers capture fast state changes on specific inputs without polling. Each input is photocoupler-isolated and protected to ±4 kV ESD per terminal, while 3750 VDC intra-module isolation separates the input circuitry.
This variant is the non-isolated DI version in a grey cover. Its ON level is +2 ~ +5 VDC and its OFF level is 0 ~ +0.8 VDC. The module draws 1.75 W maximum and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C.
