ET-7242 CR is an Ethernet I/O module that drives 16 sink-type digital outputs and reports their status over Modbus TCP or Modbus UDP. Its built-in web server and web HMI allow configuration and monitoring from a standard browser, which suits engineers who want to commission and check I/O without dedicated software.
The built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-TX switch with LAN bypass lets the module sit in a daisy-chain topology, so cabling between I/O points can be simplified. Each output has a load voltage range of +3.5 ~ +50 VDC and up to 650 mA per channel at 25°C, and the outputs can directly drive an RM series relay module to switch inductive loads. Power-on and safe values are programmable, so outputs can be set to a defined state at start-up or on communication loss.
I/O is optically isolated to 3750 VDC for transient overvoltage protection, while Ethernet is isolated to 1500 VDC. Channels are not isolated from each other. The module is DIN-rail mounted and specified for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
