The ECAT-M801-8AX CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice board for PC-based motion and I/O control. Its built-in CPU handles multi-axis motion and I/O functions, which reduces the processing load on the host PC. It supports up to 8 axes, up to 512 slaves and EtherCAT cycle times down to 0.5 ms.
Motion features include synchronised motion (E-GEAR and E-CAM), virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. On board are 13 digital inputs, 13 digital outputs and two 32-bit encoder interfaces with compare trigger outputs. A second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, which the source states keeps EtherCAT communication and process recipes running even if the OS or a program crashes.
This ordering code is supplied without cable and daughter board. The /S variants, such as ECAT-M801-8AX/S CR, include a DN-26, a CA-1515M and a CA-2615M.
