The BG96 CR is an LPWA communication module combining LTE Cat M1, LTE Cat NB1 and EGPRS in one device. It is built on the standard Mini PCI Express card format, so manufacturers can add cellular connectivity to their own designs without a custom board layout.
On LTE the module supports up to 375 Kbps downlink and 375 Kbps uplink. Its global frequency band coverage spans 2G GPRS bands at 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and a broad set of FDD LTE bands, with B39 TDD available for Cat M1. Ultra-low power consumption is a key design point for battery-powered or power-constrained devices.
For teams replacing an existing design, the module offers a migration route from GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA and LTE modules. It operates from -35°C to +75°C and carries RED, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certification markings. Region of production is China.
