ALX-9791 CR is a Linux-based programmable automation controller that brings computing, I/O and operator display into one metal housing. It suits projects where a local HMI, data acquisition and control need to run on the same device rather than across separate boxes.
The unit runs Ubuntu 20.04 with Linux kernel 5.4 on an Intel Atom E3950 processor with 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM and a 64 GB SSD. Seven slots accept e-9K, I-9K and I-97K series I/O modules, and the LinPAC SDK supports developing I/O applications in GNU C. Programs can also be stored on a CFast card or USB mass storage device.
Connectivity includes two RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, VGA and HDMI outputs, four serial ports with RS-232/RS-485 options, and USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. The ordering description carries the RoHS designation.
