The RS-M8194H brings 4-axis pulse-type motion control to a host system over a single serial link. Its embedded I-8094H motion module handles axis control, so a PC, PAC or PLC running Modbus RTU can command motion without the host generating step pulses itself. It can also run stand-alone as a motion controller, which makes it useful where a remote axis unit is needed.
Motion features include 2/3-axis linear interpolation, 2-axis circular interpolation, T/S-curve speed profiles and programmable automatic homing. Several units can be combined in multi-station, multi-axis layouts, and the front connector suits simple wiring across these stations.
For commissioning, the EzMove Utility lets engineers test motion and create macro programs without compiling code. Developers who prefer custom software can use the API Library, which covers Visual C++, C#, VB.NET, BCB and Visual Basic 6.0.
