The I-87K4 CR extends I/O over RS-485 by hosting four I-87K series I/O modules at a remote point and linking them back to the host through a single DCON port. It suits multi-drop RS-485 layouts where a central controller needs analogue, digital, counter or frequency channels spread across several locations.
The unit is built for demanding plant environments, with a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC power input, isolated power input and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. Installation is straightforward, as the modules and unit can be mounted on a DIN rail or on a wall.
More than 30 I-87K modules are supported. Software support includes DLL, ActiveX, LabVIEW, InduSoft and Linux drivers, plus an OPC server. The CR ordering code denotes the blue-cover version.
