The I-7017Z-G is a DIN-rail analog input module for engineers who need to measure voltage or current signals on a noisy or high-voltage input side. It offers 10 differential or 20 single-ended channels, with the channel mode selected in software. Each channel can be given its own input range, so mixed signal types can share one module.
Input protection is a key strength. The module tolerates 240 Vrms overvoltage and ±200 VDC common voltage, and limits overcurrent to 50 mA at 110 VDC. Voltage and current input is selected by jumper, and per-channel open wire detection is provided for 4 ~ 20 mA loops. The 16-bit converter can run in Normal mode at 10 Hz for higher accuracy (±0.1% of FSR) or in Fast mode at 60 Hz (±0.5% of FSR).
Communication is over a single RS-485 port using the DCON protocol at 1200 ~ 115200 bps (N, 8, 1). Isolation is rated at 3000 VDC intra-module, and the built-in dual watchdog covers both the module and communication. The unit is powered from +10 ~ +30 VDC and is specified for operation from -25 ~ +75 °C.
