The ECAT-M801-16AX/S CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice board for PC-based motion and I/O control, supporting up to 16 axes and up to 512 EtherCAT nodes. Its onboard CPU handles the multi-axis motion and I/O functions, which reduces the processing load on the host PC.
The board provides synchronised motion (E-GEAR and E-CAM), virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation, with an EtherCAT cycle time of up to 0.5 ms. On board are 13 digital inputs, 13 digital outputs and 2 encoder interfaces with compare trigger outputs, so common machine signals and feedback can be wired directly to the card.
The /S variant is supplied with a DN-26, a CA-1515M and a CA-2615M, so it is ready to connect on delivery. Its second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, which is intended to keep EtherCAT communication and process recipes running if the operating system or an application crashes.
