The PEX-C64 is a PCI Express x1 digital output board that gives a host PC 64 optically isolated channels for driving field logic and loads. Each channel uses a Darlington transistor output with an integrated suppression diode for inductive loads, and the isolation rated at 3750 Vrms keeps the computer separated from ground loops and voltage spikes on the field side.
Engineers choose this board for factory automation, product test and laboratory automation where a dense block of sink-type outputs is needed in a single slot. Outputs are arranged into four isolated banks when four isolated external power supplies are used. An onboard 4-bit Card ID switch makes individual boards easy to identify in software when two or more cards are installed in the same computer.
The PEX-C64 is designed as a drop-in replacement for the PISO-C64U, with no modification required to existing software or driver. This ordering code includes one CA-4037B cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors.
