The TPD-703 CR is a 7-inch touch HMI that turns conventional switch panels into intelligent control pads. Its high-resolution colour TFT touch screen supports user-defined graphical screens, and it can be combined with a range of I/O modules, which makes it suited to building and home automation projects.
Engineers can choose between two development routes. PLC-oriented users can build applications in the Ladder Designer within the free HMIWorks tool, while programmers can work in the C language environment. Both options are supported by sample programmes, including a heat hazard monitoring example.
This ordering code is the 16 MB SDRAM / 16 MB Flash version. Connectivity includes one RS-485 port (with Self-Tuner) and one RS-232 port, both non-isolated, plus an RJ-45 Ethernet port that can be powered over PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. The TPD-703-64 is the higher-memory alternative with 64 MB SDRAM and 64 MB Flash.
