XV484 CR is a 32-bit, high-speed counter, frequency and encoder input expansion board from the XV-board range. It accepts up to eight up-counter or frequency channels, or four encoder channels, so one board can cover a mixed set of pulse-counting and speed-measurement tasks.
Each channel can be configured independently. Some channels can run as up counters while others measure frequency or act as up/down or encoder inputs in the same board. A programmable digital filter rejects noise by ignoring pulses whose high or low width is shorter than the filter's minimum width. Counter values can be preserved through a virtual battery backup, and preset values can be loaded for each counter input.
- Up/down (CW/CCW), direction/pulse and A/B phase quadrant counting for encoder feedback
- Frequency inputs rated up to 1 MHz, with accuracy specified per frequency band
- Isolated from the module with 2000 VDC intra-module isolation
