The PCI-P16R16U CR is a universal PCI card for 3.3 V and 5 V slots that combines 16 optically isolated digital inputs with 16 relay outputs. The inputs carry 5000 Vrms of isolation, so field signals can be kept floating and ground loops are avoided.
The relay outputs, eight SPDT and eight SPST, can switch external devices, drive external relays or small power switches, or trigger alarms. An on-board 4-bit Card ID switch lets software tell cards apart when two or more are fitted in one computer.
Software support covers Linux, DOS and Windows, with DLL and ActiveX control options and sample programs for several languages, including C#, Visual Basic.NET and LabVIEW, to speed up application development. The package includes one CA-4037W cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors.
