The M-2217CI CR is the eight-channel member of the M-2217CI series, designed to acquire analogue voltage and current signals on an RS-485 network. Each of its eight differential channels can be set in software for voltage or current input, and each channel can be given its own input range, which suits mixed sensor layouts without changing hardware.
Engineers typically choose this variant for measurement points where signal integrity and channel separation matter. Channel-to-channel isolation of 3000 VDC keeps neighbouring inputs apart, while 120 VDC overvoltage protection and 50 mA overcurrent protection under 110 VDC conditions help the module tolerate faults on the field side. Time-stamped voltage and current records are stored for each channel, with 320,000 records per channel.
Sampling is selectable between a normal mode at 10 Hz and a fast mode at 200 Hz, both expressed as total rates. The module is rated for an input supply of +10 to +48 VDC with reverse polarity protection, and is intended for DIN-rail mounting in an operating range of -25 to +75 °C.
