The LP-9421 CR is a Linux-based PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) that combines a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with four expansion slots for I-9K (parallel-type) and I-97K (serial-type) I/O modules. It suits engineers who need a standalone controller with a full Linux environment, built-in network services and a wide range of serial and USB connectivity in one metal-cased unit.
Connectivity includes two 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet ports, four isolated serial ports (RS-232 and RS-485 options, one of which serves as the console), and two USB 2.0 host ports. Application programs can be stored on a microSD card or USB mass storage device. The LinPAC SDK, with a GCC-based toolchain, supports developing I/O applications in GNU C for I-7000, I-9000 and I-97K series modules.
The unit includes redundant power inputs with an alarm relay, a dual watchdog timer, a real-time clock and a 64-bit hardware serial number for software copy protection. It mounts on DIN-rail or wall and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.
