IWS-2201-CE7 CR is a panel-mounted 7-inch controller and HMI terminal that runs Windows Embedded Compact 7 with an InduSoft runtime licensed for 300 tags. It suits operator interfaces where a touch screen, local control logic and network connectivity need to sit in one unit, without a built-in I/O slot.
The Cortex-A8 processor, 512 MB DDR3 memory and 256 MB flash give the unit room for application code and data. Two RS-232/RS-485 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB connectors cover most field and office connections. Where extra I/O is needed, the source notes support for remote expansion through ICP DAS Ethernet, RS-485, Wi-Fi and ZigBee I/O modules.
The front panel is rated NEMA 4/IP65 and the design is fanless. It operates from -10 to +60 °C, and it can be powered from a +12 to +48 VDC supply or from PoE to IEEE 802.3af.
