The tM-R5 CR is a 5-channel power relay module from the tM series of RS-485 remote I/O units. Each of its five outputs is a Form A (SPST N.O.) power relay, suited to switching loads in on/off control schemes where a serial-networked relay stage is needed.
Engineers will value the configurable start-up and fail-safe behaviour. Power-on and safe output values are both programmable, and a dual watchdog covering the module and the communication link helps the output state remain defined when the host system misbehaves. The module also provides 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and 4 kV ESD and EFT protection.
The module is powered from a 10 to 30 VDC terminal block, has reverse polarity protection and mounts on DIN-rail. Its RS-485 port supports DCON, Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII at 1200 to 115200 bps, with selectable data formats.
