PMC-5231M CR is a power meter concentrator for energy monitoring and power demand management. It gathers readings from ICP DAS Modbus power meters and Modbus I/O modules over RS-485 or Ethernet, and presents real-time and historical power data through a standard web browser. Configuration is done through web pages, so no separate software tool or programming is needed.
The built-in IF-THEN-ELSE logic engine lets the unit adjust connected devices according to power status, for example to shed load when demand rises. Alarm messages can be sent by LINE, Telegram or Email, and schedules and timers can control I/O modules. Power data is logged to a microSD card and sent back automatically to the management centre once a disconnected network is restored.
For system integration, the concentrator supports Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU, SNMP, FTP and MQTT, and can connect to Microsoft Azure, IBM Bluemix and ICP DAS IoTstar cloud platforms. This suits links to SCADA, MES, IT, IoT and network management systems.
