The M-7017R-G is an 8-channel differential analog input module for RS-485 remote I/O networks. Each channel accepts voltage or current signals, so one module can cover a wide range of sensors and transmitters. Its input protection is designed for electrically demanding sites, with 240 Vrms overvoltage protection and ±200 VDC common voltage protection on the inputs.
The sampling rate can be set to Normal Mode (10 Hz, 0.1% of FSR) or Fast Mode (60 Hz, 0.5% of FSR), so engineers can trade accuracy against update speed. Channels can be configured individually, and the module communicates using Modbus RTU or DCON, selected through software configuration. A built-in dual watchdog monitors both the module and communication.
The -G suffix identifies the gray-cover version. The 4 ~ 20 mA current range requires an optional external 125 Ω resistor, and open wire detection is available for 4 ~ 20 mA inputs only. The module is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C and is powered from +10 ~ +30 VDC.
