I-8028UW-G is an 8-channel analog output module from the I-8K/I-87K High Profile series for PAC and remote I/O systems. Each of its eight single-ended channels drives either a voltage or a current signal, so one module can serve mixed field devices such as valves, drives and indicators without needing separate hardware for each signal type.
Output ranges are set per channel, covering 0 to 5 VDC, ±5 VDC, 0 to 10 VDC, ±10 VDC, 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 20 mA. Power-on and safe output values can be configured, so outputs can start from a defined level and fall back to a known state. Open wire detection is provided for the 4 to 20 mA range, and each output is protected against short circuits.
The module suits data acquisition, process monitoring and control, vibration analysis and factory automation tasks where galvanic separation and 16-bit output resolution are required. Isolation is rated at 3000 VDC for the external power supply and 2500 VDC between internal sections, and the module is qualified for ±4 kV ESD protection on each terminal.
