The I-7532M-FD is a local CAN/CAN FD bridge that connects two CAN or CAN FD networks. Use it to add bus loading capacity, extend communication distance or join segments running at different baud rates. It transforms messages in all four directions: CAN to CAN, CAN to CAN FD, CAN FD to CAN and CAN FD to CAN FD.
Beyond simple forwarding, the bridge supports frame forwarding, mapping, merging and splitting rules. Merging combines several CAN messages into one CAN FD message, and splitting breaks one CAN FD message into several CAN messages. Message filters can be configured, and each port's baud rate can be set independently. Configuration is carried out over USB using the I-7532-FD Utility tool.
The module is built in a metal casing, is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation and mounts on a wall or DIN rail. Ordering code I-7532M-FD CR covers the 2-port CAN/CAN FD bridge with RoHS compliance.
