The ET-87P4 extends I-87K series I/O modules over Ethernet, giving engineers remote analogue, digital, counter and frequency I/O without running individual field wiring back to a controller. Four slots accept I-87K modules, and two RJ-45 switch ports allow units to be chained in series with each other or with other Ethernet devices, reducing cabling and installation space.
Designed for harsh and electrically noisy sites, the unit has an isolated +10 ~ 30 VDC power input with redundant power inputs, and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. Maintenance is simplified by hot swapping, automatic configuration, LED fault indication, push buttons for setting the IP address and a 4-digit 7-segment display. Dual watchdog, programmable power-on and safe values support continuous and safe operation.
Software integration is supported through several SDKs and demos, including DLL, LabVIEW driver, InduSoft driver, Linux driver and OPC server. The unit also provides a RS-232 console port and Modbus RTU/ASCII slave protocol on its COM port.
