The iP-8811 is an embedded controller built around the MiniOS7 DOS-like operating system, which boots in roughly 0.4 to 0.8 seconds. Its eight-slot backplane accepts I-8K and I-87K series modules, covering digital, analogue, counter/frequency and motion functions, so one controller can be configured for a wide range of I/O mixes.
Four serial ports (RS-232 and RS-485) make the iP-8811 suitable for remote data acquisition and control tasks. Redundant power inputs with 1 kV isolation help protect the unit against noise and surges, and the rated operating range of -25 to +75 °C suits harsh industrial sites.
Software is developed in C using the included toolkit, which provides TCP/IP and Modbus libraries. Program storage is 512 KB of Flash, with 16 KB of EEPROM and a microSD slot supporting up to 32 GB for additional storage. The unit mounts on DIN-rail or wall.
