VP-2111-TC is a panel-mounted ViewPAC built around an 80186 CPU running at 80 MHz under the DOS-like MiniOS7 operating system. Engineers get local operator interaction and control logic in a single wall-mounted unit, rather than pairing a separate HMI with a PLC.
The unit has three slots for high-profile I-8K and I-87K series modules, covering digital, analogue, counter/frequency and motion control functions. Communication is provided by one 10/100M Ethernet port and three serial ports (RS-232, RS-485 and a switchable RS-232/RS-485), and programs can be loaded over RS-232 or Ethernet. Software is developed in C with a provided toolkit and Modbus library.
The -TC version ships with an STN LCD that supports both English and Traditional Chinese text. It is rated for an operating range of -15 ~ +55 °C and has an IP65 front panel.
