The USB-2064 CR adds eight power relay outputs to a PC or embedded host over a full-speed USB 2.0 connection. Each channel is a Form A (SPST-NO) contact rated at 5 A 250 VAC or 5 A 30 VDC, so it can switch mains-level or DC loads directly. Status LEDs show the state of each relay, which simplifies commissioning and fault finding.
Reliability features target unattended operation. A hardware watchdog and a programmable software watchdog work together, and configurable power-on and safe output values define the relay states the module adopts when communication is lost. The unit is powered from the USB bus and needs no external supply for its own electronics, with a rated consumption of 1.4 W.
API libraries and demonstration code for Windows and Linux are supplied for VB, C++, C#.NET, VB.NET and LabVIEW. The order includes a 1.5 m USB cable (CA-USB15) with a lockable connector.
