The M-6088-32 is a 32-channel pulse width modulation (PWM) output module for RS-485 networks. Each channel generates a waveform with a variable duty cycle and frequency from a digital output, which makes it a practical way to build cost-effective analogue control systems without dedicated analogue output hardware.
Channels can run in burst mode or continuous mode, depending on the control requirement. Outputs can be driven individually or synchronously, with a duty cycle range of 0.1 ~ 99.9 % and a burst count of 1 ~ 65535. Communication uses either DCON or Modbus RTU, and different addresses can be set by hardware to support Modbus RTU operation.
The module provides open-collector sink outputs rated +5 ~ +40 VDC at 200 mA per channel, with a power-on value and a safe value that can be set. Dual watchdog protection is built in, covering the module and communication, and intra-module isolation is rated 2500 VDC.
