The I-7016 CR takes signals from full-bridge strain gauges and load cells and processes them locally, so the module can deliver weight-related values rather than raw millivolt readings. Two strain gauge inputs with 16-bit resolution are provided, configurable for voltage or current ranges, and a user-defined linear mapping table converts the measured data into weight.
This is the blue-cover, 4-wire variant without an LED display. It includes a 0 ~ +10 V excitation voltage output rated for up to 40 mA, one digital input that can be used for general input or a 50 Hz event counter, and four open-collector digital outputs that can be set as general outputs or as high/low alarms. Power-on values are programmable for the excitation voltage, and power-on and safe values are programmable for the digital outputs.
Communication is via one RS-485 port using the DCON protocol at 1200 ~ 115200 bps, with data format (N, 8, 1). The module mounts on a DIN rail and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C. For long-distance measurement with 6-wire compensation, the I-7016P series is the relevant option.
