The USB-2060 CR adds six digital inputs and six relay outputs to a PC over USB 2.0 Full-Speed, with no external power supply required as the module is powered from the USB bus. It suits I/O expansion where a simple plug-and-play connection is preferred over a dedicated controller or fieldbus card.
Each digital input can be wired as a dry or wet contact, and all six channels can operate as 32-bit counters with a maximum frequency of 500 Hz. The relay outputs are Form A (SPST-NO) rated at 5 A, and the module provides configurable power-on and safe values together with a hardware and a programmable software watchdog to keep outputs in a known state if communication fails.
A utility tool is supplied for configuration and quick I/O testing, and an API library with demos and source code is provided for Windows and Linux developers working in VB, C++, C#.NET, VB.NET or LabVIEW. This variant includes a 1.5M USB cable (CA-USB15), and the module is locked in place with a lockable USB cable.
