The SG-3081-G takes a unipolar 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA DC current input and delivers a 0 to 5 VDC, 0 to 10 VDC, 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA output. Input, output and power circuits are separated by 1000 VDC, which helps keep signal paths clean in noisy industrial installations.
Input and output ranges are chosen through internal configuration switches, so the same module can be matched to different controllers without changing the hardware. Two potentiometers, labelled Zero and Span, allow the accuracy of the chosen range to be fine-tuned, and an LED indicates that the module is operating correctly.
