The PISO-DNM100U-T (ordering code PISO-DNM100U-T CR) turns a Windows-based PC into a DeviceNet master on the network. It uses its own independent CAN bus port, with a predefined master-slave connection set, and supports Group 2 Only Server and UCMM functions for communication with slave devices.
The board is built around an NXP SJA1000T CAN controller and an 82C250 transceiver, which provide bus arbitration, error detection with automatic correction and retransmission. Its universal PCI interface accepts both 5 V and 3.3 V PCI slots, and the board number is set by DIP switch.
