The PEX-CPM100-T CR is a PCI Express card that turns a host PC into an active CANopen master on a single CAN channel. A 16-bit on-board microcontroller runs the CANopen firmware, so time-critical network handling stays on the card, even when the PCI bus is heavily loaded.
Your application exchanges data with the firmware through memory mapping, and you can also build CANopen applications on the host using the supplied CANopen library. The CANopen Motion Library, which follows CiA 402, adds position, velocity, torque and synchronised control.
Network management features include a scan function for all nodes, master listen mode, Node Guarding and Heartbeat Consumer protocols, and automatic node addition at boot. Driver and SDK support is provided for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
