The M-2017 CR is an 8-channel differential analog input module for engineers who need to read voltage or current signals over an RS-485 network. Each channel can be set to its own input range in software, and the DIP switch selects between voltage and current input for the module.
Two sampling modes let you trade speed for accuracy. Normal mode runs at 10 Hz total with ±0.1% of FSR accuracy, while fast mode runs at 60 Hz total with ±0.5% of FSR. The 16-bit resolution applies across the input ranges, from ±150 mV to ±10 V and ±20 mA, 0 ~ 20 mA and 4 ~ 20 mA.
The module is built for electrically harsh sites. It tolerates 240 Vrms overvoltage and 50 mA overcurrent at 110 VDC, provides 3000 VDC isolation, and includes EFT, ESD and surge protection to IEC 61000-4-2, -4 and -5. Dual watchdogs for the module and communication help keep a fault-prone installation running.
