LP-9221 CR is a Linux-based programmable automation controller built around a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU running Linux kernel 3.2.14. It suits engineers who need a standalone controller that runs their own GNU C applications while connecting to local I/O through two expansion slots.
Two expansion slots accept high-performance I-9K (parallel-type) and I-97K (serial-type) I/O modules. The unit provides two 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet ports, four serial ports configurable as RS-232 or RS-485, and two USB 2.0 host ports, with the serial ports isolated at 3000 VDC. Embedded web, FTP, Telnet and SSH servers are included.
Reliability features include dual watchdog timers, redundant power inputs with a relay output for alarm signalling, and a 64-bit hardware serial number for software copy protection. The metal case is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation and can be mounted on a DIN rail or a wall.
