I-8048W-G is an 8-channel digital input module from the I-8K/I-87K high profile series, intended for PAC I/O and remote I/O systems. Each channel has photocoupler isolation protection and accepts either dry or wet contacts, with the wiring selecting the mode.
Every channel can be set to trigger on a rising or falling edge, with a maximum interrupt frequency of 10 kHz, which suits capturing fast events. The input can be set to isolated or non-isolated operation via a jumper, and sink or source input type is chosen through wire connections.
The module provides 1500 VDC intra-module isolation and 4 kV ESD protection on each terminal. Status is shown by one power and communication LED plus eight I/O LEDs. Power consumption is 1.75 W maximum, the dimensions are 30 x 102 x 115 mm (W x L x H), and the operating range is -25 to +75 °C. Certified to CE, FCC, RoHS and WEEE.
