The CAN-2057D CR is a DeviceNet slave module that gives a DeviceNet network 16 isolated digital outputs. Each channel is an NPN (sink) open-collector output rated for loads from +5 to +30 VDC at up to 100 mA per channel, making it a straightforward choice for alarm outputs and switch control in machine and factory automation.
The module operates as a Group 2 only server and is not UCMM-capable. It supports the predefined master/slave connection set, with one connection each for explicit messaging, polled I/O and bit-strobe I/O. DeviceNet heartbeat and shutdown messages are supported, and an EDS file is provided for configuring the output status through a DeviceNet master interface. The manufacturer lists prior communication with Allen-Bradley 193-DNENCAT and 193-DNENCATR and several OMRON DeviceNet masters and gateways.
Power is supplied from +10 to +30 VDC, with a consumption of 1.5 W. The module is designed for DIN-rail mounting and an operating temperature range of -25 to +75 °C, and carries CE, FCC, RoHS and WEEE marks.
