The uPAC-7186PEXD-G is a compact programmable automation controller for engineers who need to bring serial devices onto Ethernet without building a full PLC system. It pairs an 80186-compatible CPU running at 80 MHz with the built-in MiniOS7 framework, so application code written in C can run directly on the controller.
Connectivity centres on one 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port and two serial ports, RS-232 and RS-485. Two dry contact digital inputs and two open-collector digital outputs cover simple discrete signalling, and an I/O expansion bus interface allows one X-board to add further I/O functions. Power can be taken from a PoE source over a standard Category 5 cable, or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC supply.
The unit includes a 5-digit 7-segment LED display, a system/PoE status LED, a real-time clock, a watchdog timer and a 64-bit hardware serial number. It is intended for DIN-rail mounting and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.
