The M-6018-16 is a 16-channel differential analog input module for engineers who need to capture thermocouple, voltage and current signals on one RS-485 network. A single unit can serve a mix of sensor types across its channels.
Voltage inputs span ±15 mV to ±2.5 V, and current inputs cover ±20 mA, 0 to +20 mA and +4 to +20 mA. The +4 to +20 mA range requires an optional external 125 Ω resistor. Thermocouple types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N and C are supported, with open wire detection for thermocouple inputs. Overvoltage protection up to 120 VDC and 3000 VDC intra-module isolation are provided.
Communication is through one RS-485 port using Modbus RTU or DCON at 1200 to 115200 bps. The module accepts +10 to +48 VDC with reverse polarity protection and operates from -25 to +75 °C.
