IR-712A-5 is a universal IR learning module that captures the remote control commands of a wide range of electronic devices and replays them through two IR output channels. Each channel can drive a device on its own, or both can be triggered together, which suits multi-device control in rooms and building installations.
Learned commands can be stored in the module or saved to a file. The module connects to a Modbus master such as a PAC, PLC or PC over RS-232 or RS-485, and also accepts DCON ASCII string commands. The bundled software utility and PC API library cover configuration, learning, testing and storage of IR commands.
The module mounts on DIN-rail and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C. The two CA-IR-SH2251-5 emitter cables supplied give a remote control range of 125% of the standard CA-IR-SH2251 cable.
