The EC4-AD8 is a slim EtherCAT SubDevice for acquiring voltage signals on eight differential analog inputs at 16-bit resolution. Each channel is isolated, with 2500 VDC isolation and ±35 VDC overvoltage protection, which suits signal acquisition in noisy or electrically mixed control cabinets.
Input ranges of 0~10 V, ±10 V, ±5 V and ±2.5 V are selected in software. Channels sample at 1k Hz each, with an accuracy of 0.05% of FSR. The module runs on an EtherCAT cycle time of 100 μs and supports distributed clocks, so it can be synchronised within a larger network. Per-channel range and filter settings are not supported, and open wire detection is not provided.
A removable terminal-block connector and a plastic housing of 17.5 x 108 x 73 mm (W x L x D, excluding terminals) allow installation on DIN-rail or by wall mounting. The operating range is -25 ~ +70 °C, and the module is powered from +24 VDC at 1.5 W.
